Terms & Conditions
These terms and conditions set out the contract for a short term holiday rental formed between the Owners of Trewidden House (referred to as ‘us’ or ‘we’) and the person making the booking, who we require to be at least 18 years of age, and all members of that persons holiday party (referred to as ‘you’ or ‘your’). The contract will be governed by UK law, subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English Courts and will start from the date we process your deposit.
Booking
Our availability page shows which weeks are booked, reserved or available. This gives an indication but is not a guarantee of availability. If you would like to book Trewidden House, please complete and submit the booking form on our website. All bookings are subject to our terms and conditions set out below.
Reservations
Deposits must be paid within seven days of making a reservation to secure a booking. If your deposit is not received within seven days, we regret that your reservation will lapse, and the week will become available to book again on our website.
Deposits
A deposit of one third (33.33%) of the total booking fee is required to confirm your booking for bookings made more than 8 weeks in advance of your arrival date. For bookings made less than 8 weeks before your holiday, the full booking fee is payable upon booking. Once the deposit has been paid, the week you have reserved will show as booked on our website (if you pay over the weekend, this will not be actioned on our website until the next working day).
Paying the balance
The balance of the booking fee is payable eight weeks before your arrival date. If the booking fee is not paid eight weeks before your arrival date we reserve the right to cancel your holiday and re-let it.
Cancellations
Cancellations must be made to us in phone and writing (by email or letter). If you wish to cancel your booking more than 8 weeks before your date of arrival then your deposit will be retained. If you cancel your booking less than 8 weeks before your date of arrival the full booking fee will be retained. In either circumstance we will however re-advertise your cancelled dates on our website to try and re-let your booked dates and if we are successful, we will reimburse you the sum we re-let the house for, less an administration fee of £75.00. If we cannot re-let the property there will be no re-fund to you.
Cancellations beyond the control of the owner
If for any reason we have to cancel your booking due to Force Majeure (forces beyond our control) for example fire, flood, destruction/damage to the property, we will refund to you your booking fee in full if the cancellation is made before your arrival, or if we have to terminate your holiday part way through your holiday, you will be refunded the booking fee on a pro rata basis. No additional compensation, expenses or costs will be payable.

Unless agreed otherwise with us in advance of your arrival, you holiday will start and finish on a Friday, with the exception of short breaks. The property will be ready for your arrival from 5:00pm and all guests must depart by 10:00am on the day of departure. Please do not arrive before the arrival time as we will be busy preparing the house to ensure it is in the condition you would expect to find it.
