Welcome to Trewidden Garden

Initially planted by my ancestor Thomas Bolitho during the 19th century, this beautiful garden of 15 acres hold a vibrant range of over 300 Magnolias and Camellias that lie beside a large tree fern dell. A maze of paths will lead you to different areas of this tranquil Cornish garden adorned with shrubs and champion tree, some of which are more than 100 years old.  These attractions can be seen alongside rare species of plants, not normally cultivated in this country.

Children can especially enjoy the Trewidden Trail. Please also visit our shops and tea rooms selling light lunches and Cornish cream teas made from local produce, enough to tantalise your senses. I do hope you have fun exploring the depths of Trewidden Garden. Enjoy!

We also welcome dogs to visit Trewidden gardens to join in on the fun.

HISTORY

Many Cornish gardens are linear, running down a stream or drive. The various members of the Bolitho family, along with their Head Gardeners, have made Trewidden Garden very different and truly special by creating a mysterious and wonderful square(ish) garden with a maze of paths meandering through it.
