LIVING

The house has two large principal reception rooms leading off the entrance hall that will comfortably seat a full house of guests, both with welcoming open fires. The sun streams through large bay windows into an elegantly furnished, yet comfortable drawing room that’s perfect for a congenial chat after supper. The adjacent morning room, again with large bay windows that look towards Mounts Bay, boasts a large television and card table in the bay window.

EATING

There is a very spacious and well equipped kitchen complete with large island unit. The kitchen features two ovens, two hobs (x8 rings) and two dishwashers for prepping those fun filled group meals that are a must on a group holiday, or alternatively are a caterers delight if you hire a chef for a special celebratory meal during your stay. Meals are eaten either at the large kitchen table or else dine in style in the stunning wood panelled dining room which has glorious views through the bay windows. Al fresco dining on the front lawn is a must, whether it’s a meal prepped in the kitchen or a hearty feast cooked on our large gas barbecue and enjoyed at the garden table.

SLEEPING

The eight generous bedrooms accessed up the grand staircase sleep up to 15 people, and are incredibly spacious and comfortable. Five of the bedrooms have superking zip-and-link beds that can be made up as superking doubles or twin beds, two of the bedrooms are twin rooms and one bedroom has a queen size bed for single occupancy only. Guests can let us know at the time of booking how they would prefer the beds to be configured for their arrival.

BATHING

Two bathrooms, a shower room, two W.C's, and an en-suite attached to the Boscawenoon bedroom offer more than enough facilities for a full house of guests. Additionally, wash basins can be found in the Kerris, Raginnis, Tregadgwith and Trevider rooms. One lovely feature of Trewidden is the outside heated shower located by the back door. Children absolutely love being hosed off (warmly!) after a fun filled day at the beach.

RECREATION

As well as the large Sony flat screen TV in the morning room, children can watch their preferred programmes in peace in the TV/games room at the other end of the house. Fiercely competitive ping pong tournaments are often played out in the old back kitchens and there are some lovely traditional games to enjoy on the front lawn. The more energetic guests will enjoy playing tennis on the private tennis court, screened by a Camellia hedge but with convenient cut outs to admire the view in between sets. For those inclined to enjoy more leisurely pastimes, and for dogs and their owners ( a max of two dogs are welcome at Trewidden) there are acres of space to explore in the grounds and the tranquillity of the adjacent Trewidden Garden can also be enjoyed.
